To correct a transaction using the Self-Correction Component (SCC), plan officials must click on one of these eligible transactions:

• Delinquent Transmittal of Participant Contributions and Loan Repayments
• Eligible Inadvertent Participant Loan Failures

Once selected, follow the instructions to complete your correction. Plan administrators must retain certain records, specified in the instructions, related to the correction.

The SCC, part of the VFCP, allows plan officials to correct errors and avoid U.S. Department of Labor enforcement actions and civil penalties, provided all relevant conditions are met.
